E-Shram Card Benefits

E-Shram Card Benefits: In the words of Rabindranath Tagore: “Ora Kaj kare Nagare-Prantare/Ora Kaj kare Desh-Deshantare” Everyone who works has the right to a secure life. As Kazi Nazrul Islam said: “Kemon kore ghurche manush yugantarer ghurnipake”. But What about those who work hard all their lives, yet are unable to save for the future? What happens to them in old age, when their bodies grow weak, and even their eyesight fades? Will Parents have to depend entirely on their children? And even then – how many peaceful days can they truly hope for?

Keeping that very thought in mind, our compassionate Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has introduced a scheme to provide Rs. 3,000 per month to workers in the unorganized sector – those who earn just enough to feed themselves through daily labour. Their is why hardworking people across the country bless the Prime Minister with all their heart.

E-Shram Card Benefits

It is said that over 40 crore people in India work in the unorganized sector, according to official statistics. So far, nearly 20 crore workers have registered under the Prime Minister’s E-Shram Card initiative. Around 2 crore people are already receiving its benefits, and the government has announced that many more will be brought under this scheme in the coming days.

In our country, many people above the age of 60 struggle to even secure the basic necessities of life – food, shelter and care. With age they lose the ability to earn and are left with no choice but to depend entirely on their children. For many, life becomes a silent wait -praying to God for a peaceful end, as they have neither the means nor the strength to carry on any other way.

Why is the E-Shram Card given?

While working in the unorganized sector, many workers often face low wages and on top of that, lose their pay for the days they can’t show up to work. The Government of India has taken these hardships and challenges very seriously. That’s why it has introduced the E-Shram Card (E-Shram Card Benefits)- to support these workers and ensure they are not left behind when it comes to security and benefits.
