Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana: On 17 October 2025, millions of women across Bihar received a major financial relief as the fourth installment of the Chief Minister Mahila Rojgar Yojana (CMWREY) was credited to their bank accounts.
This scheme, designed to strengthen women’s economic independence, continues to change lives across the state by supporting them in starting small businesses and self-employment ventures.
Under this programme, eligible women receive ₹10,000 directly in their bank accounts. So far, over 1.21 crore women have benefited from the scheme, with three installments already distributed successfully.
Objective of Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana
The Chief Minister Mahila Rojgar Yojana was launched by the Bihar government to promote entrepreneurship among women and help them become financially independent.
The state provides monetary assistance to help women set up 18 types of small-scale and cottage industries, such as tailoring, embroidery, food processing, handicrafts, and more.
Women receive ₹10,000 as the first installment to start their work. If they continue their business for six months, they become eligible to receive up to ₹2 lakh in further assistance from the government, a significant step toward building a self-reliant Bihar.
Installment Schedule Announced Before Election Code of Conduct
Due to the announcement of Bihar Assembly Election dates, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect. However, the good news is that the installment schedule of the Mahila Rojgar Yojana was declared before the code was enforced. Who Will Receive the Fourth Installment

If you have already received ₹10,000 in any of the earlier installments, you will not receive it again today. However, if your application was approved recently and you have not yet received the first payment, your ₹10,000 may be credited to your account on 17 October 2025.
