Ya Ali Singer From Gangster Zubeen Garg is one singer who won millions of hearts. The entire country, including his state, Assam, is mourning in such a way like a parent who mourns painfully over the loss of their child. Spellbound audiences again and again repeatedly mention his name and devotion to bringing folk music to life. His Bollywood songs, like ‘Ya Ali’ from the Gangster Hindi movie and ‘Dil Tu Hi Bata’ from the Krrish movie, have had people praising his soulful songs with a sense of deep thrill and admiration. The voice of humanity from Assam, Bhupen Hazarika, was also born in the month of September, and our very own Zubeen Garg also left us in this very month of September (Death, 19.09.2025).

The singer Zubeen Garg, who composed music for the Assamese film Nayak and the Bengali film Shudhu Tumi, passed away while scuba diving in Singapore. This death has created a void in the world of music, with the sudden loss of the magic of a soulful voice. His friends are saying Zubeen is the ideal of the Assam realm of music. They also said when Zubeen came to Assam to attend his concert, our friend used to invite singers and musicians from his circle, and we had fun and enjoyed ourselves openly with them. It is very painful for us to realise that the person will no longer set foot on the ground from today.
